The recommended dimensions are 16:9 with a resolution of at least 1920px x 1080px. |
Once you have finished entering your event series information click the orange "Update" button in the bottom right corner of the page.
Step 2: Participants
To edit Participants you can do so from the main event series screen. You can Add, Remove, and swap participants by clicking the pencil in the top right of the participants' box.
Adding Participants
Simply begin typing in the name of the participant you want to add to your event series. Many already exist in our database. Upon the participant name you want to add appearing, simply select it. Then click the orange "Add Participant" button to the right to confirm your selection.
If the participant does not exist in our system you can create them right on this page by clicking "Yes" next to the text which will ask you if you want to create a new participant.
Alternatively, you can fully create a new participant through our normal process.
Repeat this process until you have added all participants in your series. Once you are done click the orange "Save" button to complete adding all of these participants to your series. Then click "Back to View" which is next to the save button on the bottom right of your screen to return to the previous page.
Deleting Participants
If you added a participant by mistake you can simply click the black trashcan icon on the right of the participant to remove them from your series.
Step 3: Matches
Here is where you can edit the information for each individual match in the series. Begin by clicking the pencil icon in the top right of the stages box.
From here you can add new stages, or matches within an existing stage.
Creating Stages
You can call a stage whatever you like. Common uses are the day of the week matches are being played or the round those matches are in within the tournament. Examples include Saturday, Quarter Finals, Grand Finals, etc. You can change the name of the stage by simply editing the text field that the name is stored in.
You can then select how many games are allotted for each match in the "Best Of" dropdown.
If you would like to hide results to avoid spoiling matches for your viewers you can simply check the "Add Spoiler Tag to Results" Checkbox right beneath the "Best Of" Dropdown.
Next, you must set the value for a victory, draw, and loss. Our most common solution to this is 1, 0, and 0.
If these settings will be used for all the stages in your Event Series check the box "Use these settings as default for all stages" so you will only have to update the name of the following stages in your series. Once the stage is set up to your liking click the orange "Save" button in the bottom right corner of your screen. You are now ready to begin adding individual matches or to create additional stages.
To create another stage click the "add stage" button to the right of the "stage to edit" dropdown and repeat the process until you have created all the stages for your event series.
Deleting Stages
To delete a stage click the delete button in the bottom right corner next to the save button while viewing that stage.
Adding Matches
To add a match first use the "stage to edit" dropdown to ensure you are adding a match to the correct stage. Then you can click on the "Add Match" button and it will take you to the page to create a new match.
You will see a page like the one below. Many of the fields will already have been filled in pulling the data from the Event Series itself. Make sure to adjust any of this information accordingly for the specific match.
